The story of the crow is known to every child. The crow sees a pot with water. He couldn’t reach the water so he brings pebbles and drops them till the water rises. Then he drinks it and flies away.
When this story was told to a child, he asked his parents why couldn’t the crow go and buy a bottle of water? Instead of trying to reach for it, he could buy another bottle, right?
This is the difference between you and your ancestors. They repaired and reused stuff over and over again. Right from nappies or diapers to cars and watches! But today you use and throw stuff. The cell phone to marriages too are use once and throw. No one wants to make them work by renewal or revival.
Hence our children do not see the need of patiently making that water rise in the pot by trying the hard way.
